Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

By inviting Crimson Bot ("the bot", "we", "us") to a Discord server, or by using its commands or dashboard, you ("you", "the user") agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please remove the bot and stop using it. These Terms apply in addition to Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, which always take precedence.

1. What Crimson Bot is

Crimson Bot is a Discord moderation and engagement bot providing moderation tools, audit logs, leveling, polls, giveaways, tickets, auto-moderation and other server-management features. It's operated as a service by an individual maintainer and is not affiliated with Discord Inc.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Crimson Bot to:

  • Violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
  • Harass, threaten or harm other users
  • Distribute spam, malware or illegal content
  • Evade moderation against you on another server (e.g. ban evasion)
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or extract source code from the bot
  • Stress-test, flood or otherwise abuse the bot's commands or dashboard endpoints
  • Resell, white-label or commercially redistribute the bot's functionality

Server administrators are responsible for how the bot is used within their server, including auto-moderation rules and the content of welcome messages, autoresponders and other admin-defined output.

3. Service availability

Crimson Bot is provided on a best-effort basis. We aim for high uptime but make no guarantees:

  • The bot may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates or Discord API issues
  • Scheduled features (polls, giveaways, reminders, counters) may be delayed if the bot is offline at the trigger time
  • Features may be added, modified or removed at any time without prior notice
  • We may rate-limit, suspend or block servers or users that abuse the service

The latest status and recent changes are posted to our support server and the Updates page.

4. User content

"User content" includes any text, settings, configurations or messages you submit through Crimson Bot — welcome templates, autoresponder triggers, ticket transcripts, poll questions and suggestions.

  • You retain ownership of your user content
  • You grant us a non-exclusive license to store and process that content as needed to operate the bot for your server
  • You are solely responsible for ensuring your content does not violate any law or third-party right

5. Premium subscriptions

Crimson Bot offers paid Premium and Ultimate tiers that raise feature caps and unlock additional modules. Subscriptions are billed per server through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our Merchant of Record (the seller of record on your receipt). Full cancellation and refund details are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. The following apply to all paid plans:

  • Cancellation — Cancel renewal anytime from the dashboard's My Account page. Cancellation stops the next charge; the plan stays active until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds for unused time.
  • Transferring between servers — A subscription can be moved between servers from My Account. To prevent abuse, a transfer takes 2 days (48 hours) to complete.
  • During a pending transfer — Premium stays fully active on the source server; the destination gains no perks until the transfer completes.
  • When a transfer completes — Premium moves to the destination. Usage already spent in the current period carries over (e.g. if you used 4,000 of 5,000 monthly AI messages, the destination starts with 1,000 left). Quotas don't reset until your next billing date — this prevents transfer-based quota refresh exploits.
  • Cancelling a pending transfer — You can cancel a scheduled transfer anytime before completion; Premium stays on the source server unchanged.
  • Notifications — If an update-announcement channel is configured on either server involved, Crimson posts a reminder there every 12 hours until completion, then a final "transfer complete" message.
  • Eligibility for the destination — must be a server where you have Manage Server, have Crimson already added, and not already have an active subscription. Only one transfer per server may be in flight at a time.
  • Pricing changes — Posted pricing may change. Active subscriptions keep their original price until the end of the current period; renewals after that bill at the then-current price.
  • Service interruption — Brief outages don't trigger refunds. Extended outages affecting a substantial portion of a billing period may be credited at our discretion — contact us.
  • Refunds — All sales are final. We may issue goodwill refunds for genuine billing errors at our discretion; contact us within 14 days of the charge. Nothing here removes a mandatory consumer-law right; see the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6. Termination

You can stop using Crimson Bot anytime by removing it from your server; data retention after removal follows the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or remove the bot from any server that violates these Terms, with or without notice. In severe cases we may block the operator from re-inviting it. If we terminate a Premium-subscribed server for cause, the subscription is forfeit without refund; if we terminate without cause (e.g. shutting down the service), we'll pro-rata refund remaining paid time.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

Crimson Bot is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for your specific requirements. Use is at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operators of Crimson Bot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data or goodwill, resulting from your use of (or inability to use) the bot. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us — which, for a free service, is zero.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in our support server and reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are interpreted under generally applicable consumer-protection and contract law in your jurisdiction. Any dispute that can't be resolved through informal contact will be subject to the courts where the operator resides.
