Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how cancellations, billing and refunds work for Crimson Bot's paid Premium and Ultimate subscriptions. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service.

๐Ÿ’ณ How payments are handled: Crimson's paid plans are sold and processed through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record (MoR) for your purchase. Lemon Squeezy โ€” not Crimson โ€” is the seller of record on your receipt, collects payment, handles applicable taxes, and processes refunds. This policy and Lemon Squeezy's buyer terms both apply; where a mandatory consumer-law right gives you more protection, that right prevails.

1. The free tier is always free

Every server can use Crimson on the free tier indefinitely with no payment and no card on file. Premium and Ultimate are optional upgrades that raise caps and unlock extra modules. You're only ever charged if you deliberately subscribe.

2. Billing & renewal

  • Subscriptions are billed per server on a recurring basis (monthly), charged in advance for each period.
  • Your plan renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
  • Posted pricing may change. An active subscription keeps its original price for the current period; renewals after that bill at the then-current price.
  • Taxes โ€” listed prices exclude tax. As Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy calculates and adds any applicable VAT, GST or sales tax at checkout based on your location, so your total may be higher than the listed price.

3. Cancelling

  • You can cancel renewal at any time from the dashboard's My Account page (or via the customer portal link in your Lemon Squeezy order emails).
  • Cancellation stops the next charge. Your plan stays fully active until the end of the period you've already paid for โ€” nothing is cut off early.
  • We do not provide partial refunds for the unused remainder of a period after you cancel.

4. Refunds

Because Premium unlocks digital features immediately, all sales are final as a general rule. However:

  • Billing errors โ€” if you were charged in error (e.g. a duplicate charge, a charge after a confirmed cancellation, or being billed for a tier you didn't buy), contact us within 14 days of the charge and we'll arrange a full refund of the erroneous amount.
  • Goodwill โ€” outside of billing errors, refunds are at our discretion. We'd rather make it right, so reach out if something went wrong.
  • Statutory rights โ€” nothing here removes a refund or cancellation right you have under mandatory consumer law in your country. Where you have a stronger legal right, that right applies (see ยง5).
  • Lemon Squeezy's discretion โ€” as Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy may issue a refund directly (for example, to resolve a payment dispute or prevent fraud) even where this policy would otherwise treat a sale as final. Its decision as seller of record is final for the transaction.

5. EU / UK & other statutory withdrawal rights

If you are a consumer in the EU, UK or another region with a statutory "cooling-off" right for digital purchases, that right is administered by Lemon Squeezy as the seller of record. Note that for digital content delivered immediately, this right is commonly waived at checkout when you agree to start using the paid features right away. Lemon Squeezy's checkout flow and buyer terms set out exactly how this works for your purchase, and any mandatory right you can't waive is always honoured.

6. Service interruptions

Crimson is provided on a best-effort basis. Brief or routine outages (maintenance, Discord API incidents) don't trigger refunds. If an extended outage affects a substantial portion of your billing period, contact us โ€” we may credit or partially refund that period at our discretion.

7. Server transfers are not refunds

Instead of cancelling, you can move a subscription between your own servers from My Account. Transfers take 48 hours to complete (anti-abuse), the plan stays active on the original server until it lands, and used quota carries over and doesn't reset until your next billing date. Transferring does not start, pause or refund a billing period. Full details are in Terms ยง5.

8. If we end a subscription

If we terminate a paid server for cause (a Terms violation), the subscription is forfeit without refund. If we terminate without cause โ€” for example, if we discontinue the service or a paid feature โ€” we'll provide a pro-rata refund of the remaining paid time. This mirrors Terms ยง6.

9. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first โ€” we resolve genuine billing issues quickly. Opening a chargeback or payment dispute without contacting us may result in the associated server's Premium access being suspended pending resolution.

10. How to request a refund

Email crimsonbot2210@gmail.com or reach us in our support server with your Discord user ID, the server involved, and the receipt or order ID from your Lemon Squeezy confirmation email. Refunds approved by us are issued back to your original payment method through Lemon Squeezy. We aim to respond within 14 days.
